Your Rights and Responsibilities Under the DMCA

When a copyright holder believes their rights have been violated, they may file a DMCA takedown notice with us. Upon receiving such a notice, and if it complies with DMCA requirements, we are obligated to take prompt action by disabling or removing the allegedly infringing content. This ensures that we remain in compliance with the law and that copyright holders are protected.

Please be advised that any takedown notice you submit will include your name, address, phone number, and email, all of which may be shared with the person whose content is being disputed. This step is necessary to uphold the rights of both parties and allow for a response.

If you are the original uploader or owner of the removed content and believe it was taken down due to mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. To be effective, your counter-notice must include:

  1. Exact identification of the content that was removed, including where it appeared before being removed (such as a link);
  2. Your full contact information, including legal name, physical address, telephone number, and email address;
  3. A declaration under penalty of perjury that the content was wrongly removed, based on your good faith belief;
  4. A consent statement agreeing to jurisdiction of the appropriate federal district court or any U.S. district court if outside the country;
  5. Your signature, physical or electronic, authenticating the document.

Submitting false or misleading information in either a takedown request or counter-notice may lead to legal liability. We strongly recommend consulting legal counsel if you are unsure about your rights.
